A real commitment

For over 30 years, Oleificio Zucchi has continued to invest heavily in innovation and plant upgrades, as well as working to provide real guarantees not only of the quality and healthiness of its products, but also of the social and environmental sustainability of its business , continuing a tradition in which the company’s guiding values are responsibility and transparency.

These same values inspire our daily work at Oleificio Zucchi, confirming their status as an integral part of the company’s management and decision-making processes, as well as representing the milestones of a roadmap that is as ambitious as it is essential: the implementation of our improvement plan consistently with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a Resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 25 September 2015).

Consistently with these objectives and its production chain, Oleificio Zucchi is working to strengthen the following global goals BY 2030:

ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for everyone at all ages

gender equality:

promote gender equality and eliminate all forms of discrimination

affordable and clean energy:

ensure access for all to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy

promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

responsible consumption and production:

ensure that products are safe, assess the social and environmental impact of production processes and products throughout their life cycle, promote the circular economy and the efficient use of resources

climate action:

take urgent action to fight climate change and its impacts, based on the belief that the united nations framework convention on climate change provides a reliable scientific and political basis for a global response to climate change

partnership for the goals:

strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development

Oleificio Zucchi has published its Sustainability Report since 2005, with a view to sharing its sustainable development policies with internal and external stakeholders, as well as becoming a case study for the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. In 2016, it adopted the GRI guidelines, version G4, Comprehensive option. This report describes the steps taken to achieve the sustainability goals set out in the 2030 Agenda.
